Government’s Support for Green Industry

During the visit, government officials expressed their support for Thermax’s initiatives. Andi Rizaldi highlighted the alignment with Indonesia’s decarbonization roadmap:

“We have already committed with nine industrial associations — such as cement, steel, and fertilizer — to achieve net zero emission by 2050. The government will continue to support green technologies provided by industry players, including Thermax, so they align with our national targets,” Andi stated.

Echoing the same point, Apit Pria Nugraha underscored the need for concrete collaboration.

“From this meeting, we need to create something more tangible. The technologies offered not only bring efficiency but also ensure compliance for industries. The government will support solutions like those from Thermax to be part of our green transformation,” he said.

Long-Term Investment in Indonesia

Thermax Indonesia has been operating since 2017, focusing on clean energy, industrial efficiency, and water and wastewater solutions. In addition to boiler manufacturing, the company expanded in 2024 by establishing a chemical plant to support boiler water treatment needs.

“With the support of the government and industry, we are optimistic about expanding our contributions in Indonesia. Our presence here is not just for today, but a long-term investment to support the nation’s energy transition agenda,” added Rabindranath Pillai.
