Connecting Business and Sport

CEO Masters Indonesia was designed to create an environment where business leaders could engage beyond conventional meetings and formal networking sessions.
Golf offers participants an opportunity to spend extended time together, exchange perspectives, and develop relationships in a shared sporting environment. Through this format, the tournament aims to encourage connections among executives from different industries and professional backgrounds.
Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin highlighted the potential of the gathering to strengthen economic diplomacy and encourage international investment in Indonesia.
Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno also emphasised the role of international sporting events in supporting Indonesia’s sports tourism ambitions and creating opportunities for wider economic activity.
Kapil Dev shared his own experience of golf as a powerful means of building relationships, reflecting on the friendships and connections he has developed through the sport over the years.

“I played for India for 15 years and never met as many people as I have through golf. Through this sport, I have met so many people and made so many friends. It is unbelievable,” he said.
Reflecting on his experience at the inaugural CEO Masters Indonesia, Kapil Dev added, “It has been a wonderful experience to be here in Jakarta and to be part of the first CEO Masters Indonesia. Sport has a unique way of bringing people together, and events like this provide an excellent platform for business leaders to connect, build friendships and enjoy the spirit of competition.
“I was delighted to see the enthusiasm and energy throughout the day, and I congratulate the winners, all the participants and the organisers for putting together such a memorable event. I hope CEO Masters Indonesia continues to grow in the years ahead and becomes an important event on the regional golfing calendar.”
A Vision for Future Editions

During the gala dinner and awards ceremony, Prakash Vijaykumar expressed appreciation to the participants, sponsors, professional golfers, and organising team who helped bring the inaugural edition to life.
He explained that the event had emerged from discussions held approximately eight months earlier, involving individuals including Dhruv Verma and Russell Yeomans, who has been involved in CEO Masters in Dubai.
“Eight months ago, we discussed this, and eight months later, we are here celebrating the inaugural CEO Masters. I am very happy to see this event finally come to life,” Prakash said.
He expressed confidence in the tournament’s future growth.
“Next year is going to be even bigger. This is just the beginning, just a preview of what is to come, and we will have bigger things for CEO Masters Indonesia,” he said.

Russell Yeomans also highlighted the broader ambition to grow the initiative internationally.
“The vision of CEO Masters is simple, but we are creating something magnificent that will grow globally,” Russell said.
The inaugural tournament establishes a foundation for CEO Masters Indonesia to develop its executive golfing community and strengthen its connections with the wider international circuit.
Looking ahead, the organisers aim to build on the event’s debut by expanding participation, strengthening corporate partnerships, and creating further opportunities for business leaders to connect through sport.
Further announcements concerning future editions, international participation, and tournament arrangements will be made as plans are confirmed.
