JAKARTA – On Thursday (09/03), the Indonesia Economic Forum supported Indonesia India Business Forum‘s special roundtable on “Digital Transformation in Healthcare – Future Trends and Opportunities”

The roundtable was attended by 30 attendees from various telemedicine startups, healthcare equipment companies, and healthcare workers.

The sessions started with a brief presentation of Indonesia’s telemedicine progress by Setiaji. He reiterates the emergence of the PeduliLindungi app, a nationwide contact tracing application developed by the Ministry of Health, and its evolution towards becoming the nation’s #1 telemedicine app as COVID-19 continues to wind down.

Then, dr. Purnawan Junadi explains his journey in developing Indonesia’s telemedicine in general since the early 2000s. Norbert Kehl and dr. Deepak Agrawal later joined to discuss more about the future of digital transformation for healthcare and medicine everywhere in the world.

Moderated by dr. Bayu Prawira Hie, MD, MBA, Ph.D, invitees were enthusiastic and participated in deep discussions on how to further develop Indonesia’s telemedicine in the future.
