Jakarta, 11 December 2023 – The 10th Annual Indonesia Economic Forum concluded its two-day event on November 29-30, 2023, bringing together prominent thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore and strategize the digital transformation of Indonesia’s economy. Focused on harnessing the full potential of digitalization, the forum featured a diverse array of engaging discussions and keynote addresses.

Day One Highlights

The day commenced with the distinguished “Power Breakfast – Post Pandemic Pathways to Growth,” led by keynote speakers Gita Wirjawan and Shinta Kamdani. The session provided valuable insights into navigating the post-pandemic economic landscape and sustainable growth strategies.

Following that, Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, delivered a compelling address on “Accelerating Tourism and Creative Economy,” sharing significant statistics indicating that the number of tourist arrivals this year in Indonesia is close to 11 billion, contributing to a GDP nearing 4%.

The “Presidential Dialogue: State of the Nation (Political Outlook)” featured key speakers Wijayanto Samirin, Dr. Dradjad H. Wibowo, and Anton Hermanto Gunawan, providing diverse perspectives on Indonesia’s political outlook and future.

The day concluded with “Aligning Skilling with Jobs of The Future,” where Prof. Drs. Anwar Sanusi and Siti Azizah addressed the critical need to align skill development with future job opportunities, offering valuable insights into the evolving employment landscape.

Day Two Highlights

Day two commenced with “Accelerating The Digital Economy,” where Prof. Ir. Nizam and Dr. Navin Rajagobal discussed strategies for propelling Indonesia’s digital economy forward, emphasizing the role of technology in this transformative journey.

Following that, visionary leaders SD Darmono, Reza Pahlevi Chairul, and Revli Orelius Mandagie explored “Digitalization Opportunities for Indonesia’s Regional Economy,” offering practical insights for businesses and policymakers.

The event culminated with the grand launch of the ASEAN Economic Forum, featuring keynote speakers H.E. Satvinder Singh and Ashish Kapahi. The forum aims to foster regional economic cooperation and integration.
