ISF 2026 Reaffirms Indonesia’s Commitment to Sustainable Growth and Resilience Through Global Collaboration

Jakarta, 1 October 2026 – Senior business leaders, investors, and policymakers from around the world will convene in Jakarta for the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2026, taking place on 6–7 October 2026 at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta. The forum will bring together prominent figures from government, business, finance, and international organizations, including Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General & Executive Secretary of UNESCAP; Hashim Djojohadikusumo, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for Climate & Energy; and Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).

Under the theme “Investing for a Resilient, Sustainable, and Prosperous World,” the fourth edition of ISF will deepen collaboration among government leaders, businesses, investors, financial institutions, academia, and international organizations to explore how growth, innovation, technology, and financing can contribute to a more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous future.

Through ISF 2026, Indonesia continues to strengthen its position as an important hub for global dialogue on the future of sustainable growth, bringing together ideas, financing opportunities, technology, and partnerships to address the development challenges ahead.

ISF 2026 is grounded in an ambition shared by Indonesia and many countries around the world: how to sustain economic growth while accelerating the low-carbon transition, strengthening resilience, and improving people’s quality of life.

This year, ISF 2026 will focus on “Powering Low-Carbon Growth” on the first day and “Enabling a Resilient & Liveable Future” on the second day. Together, these themes offer complementary perspectives—from how strategic sectors can drive low-carbon growth to how various enablers can strengthen the foundations for resilient and inclusive development.

Rachmat Kaimuddin, Chair of the ISF 2026 Organizing Committee, said that amid global dynamics, Indonesia continues to identify opportunities to advance its agenda for sustainable and resilient growth.

“Amid shifting global directions and dynamics, maintaining consistency in the sustainability agenda has become increasingly important. For Indonesia, the challenge is to sustain economic growth while advancing the transition toward a more sustainable economy,” said Rachmat Kaimuddin.

Rachmat continued:

“We believe green growth should be positioned as part of the development strategy to strengthen economic resilience, create new opportunities, and generate long-term value for society. Starting from national interests can make the sustainability agenda more relevant and enduring, while creating greater space for global collaboration.”

Meanwhile, Shinta Kamdani, Coordinating Deputy Chair for Human Development, Culture, and Sustainability at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia), noted that sustainability is increasingly becoming an integral part of business growth and competitiveness strategies.

“Sustainability is increasingly becoming part of how businesses view growth, competitiveness, and future opportunities. For companies, this transition creates opportunities to innovate, create value, and build long-term competitiveness. ISF 2026 brings together businesses, investors, government, and strategic partners to explore these opportunities and foster collaboration that can support sustainable and resilient growth,” said Shinta Kamdani.

Rachmat Kaimuddin added that ISF 2026 serves as a platform for bringing together diverse perspectives and exploring how the sustainability agenda can be translated into opportunities to create long-term value for Indonesia.

“ISF 2026 provides a platform for government, businesses, investors, and various stakeholders to exchange experiences, examine challenges from different perspectives, and explore solutions that can be put into practice. For Indonesia, this kind of collaboration is important to drive innovation, strengthen competitiveness, and build more sustainable and resilient long-term growth,” said Rachmat.

Building on the Momentum of Previous ISF Editions

Since its inaugural edition in 2023, ISF has continued to evolve as a platform bringing together heads of state and government, business leaders, investors, international institutions, academia, and other stakeholders.

ISF 2023 recorded more than 2,000 participants from over 40 countries, while ISF 2024 and 2025 each attracted more than 11,000 and 10,000 participants, respectively, with more than 100 speakers at each edition. The forums also brought together CEOs and business leaders and facilitated more than 30 MoUs focused on various aspects of the energy transition.

These achievements provide a foundation for ISF 2026 to expand opportunities for collaboration and strengthen the connection between the sustainability agenda, economic growth, and resilience. Through this approach, ISF 2026 aims to create space for more partnerships, collaboration opportunities, and solutions that can be developed and deliver long-term impact.
